Fundraising & Donations
   
aim To raise funds and obtain donations from corporations and individuals.
elements This does not include corporate membership and would include fundraising for individual projects as well as corporations donating to the Society in general.
Donations need not only be monetary – corporations could donate goods or services (e.g. Catering for events, prizes for auctions, boats or cars for field trips or research).

Meeting with corporations for fundraising

Public Relations
   
aim To have press coverage of all ESO campaigns and events.

Being involved with on-going PR issues for up coming events for example writing articles for ESO
Write/translate press releases
Writing, publishing and distributing newsletters
Writing weekly articles in newspapers drawing attention to environmental issues
Photography for events

Lectures
   
aim To have a series of informative and insightful lectures and presentations on various topics related to Oman's environment.
elements
Monthly lectures given by ESO Members who collectively have a great deal of expertise and other leading specialists in their field
Past lectures have included endangered species, whale and dolphin research, conservation areas and Oman's landscape
Optimise visual inputs
Open to the public
Create a vibrant discussion forum to inspire the exchange of ideas and develop proposals to help effect change

Suggest lecture topics if you are an environmental specialist or know of one
Spread the word about forthcoming events and invite people to attend
Help with organisation
Find and secure free locations for lectures
